We are thrilled to see that our Sistema Solare Chandelier has been featured in Architectural Digest as part of a remarkable Victorian London home renovation by interior designer Peter Mikic.
The townhouse, just around the corner from Kensington Palace, has been transformed into a vibrant family residence that bridges history and modern living. Peter Mikic’s vision brings new energy to the space, combining original period detailing with bold contemporary choices. From painstakingly uncovering intricate cornicing to layering colour and texture throughout, his design achieves a home that feels both timeless and personal.
In the basement TV Room, our Sistema Solare Chandelier takes centre stage. The space is enveloped in a deep midnight blue, walls, ceiling, and cornicing alike, creating a cocoon-like atmosphere. Within this setting, the chandelier becomes both a focal point and a source of warm, diffused light. Its translucent onyx discs cast a soft glow that complements the room’s enveloping tones.
The ivory-toned onyx was chosen for its distinctive veining and natural translucency, qualities that give the light a warmth and depth that cannot be replicated. Combined with the chandelier’s flexible structure, the result is a piece that adapts beautifully to its surroundings while maintaining a strong presence.
We are honoured that our Sistema Solare has been part of this thoughtful project, and grateful to Architectural Digest for recognising its role in Peter Mikic’s inspired renovation.
