Our Orbitale brass chandelier was featured in Introspective, the magazine of 1stDibs, in a piece on interior designer Zoë Feldman’s recent transformation of a penthouse in Washington, D.C.’s historic Georgetown.
Commissioned by West Coast clients seeking a refined yet welcoming pied-à-terre, Feldman reimagined the 1990s apartment with a thoughtful blend of classic references and contemporary ease. The result is a home that feels considered, layered, and deeply personal.
At the heart of the apartment is the dining area, a serene and functional space designed for both quiet meals and convivial gatherings. Here, our Orbitale chandelier holds a central place, suspended above a Zafal ash dining table and a rare set of teak chairs by Johannes Andersen. The chandelier’s brass arms echo the mid-century influences that run through the home, while its warm light subtly highlights the surrounding textures, honed marble, vintage wool, natural wood, and art by Charles Gaines.
With its three rotating arms balanced on a solid brass sphere, Orbitale creates a gentle interplay of light and movement. Though primarily an ambient fixture, its directional shades cast focused highlights that lend depth to the table’s surfaces. The design, inspired by Italian studios like Arteluce and Stilnovo, feels both rooted and modern, a perfect fit for Feldman’s signature approach.
We are proud to be part of a project that reflects Zoë Feldman’s refined sense of balance, between tradition and modernity, function and form, and that highlights the quiet strength of every element she chooses.
