We are proud to see that our Alterno Branching Chandelier has been featured in the 2025 edition of the 1stDibs 50, in a Manhattan residence designed by the acclaimed architecture and interior design firm Hendricks Churchill. Being recognized by a studio included in the 1stDibs 50 top designers is a significant honor for us.
Hendricks Churchill was tasked with transforming a minimal apartment in Carnegie Hill into a warm and colorful home for a young family. Their design frames the iconic skyline views while grounding the interior within the cityscape.
At the core of the residence is a multi-use living area, functioning as a music room, media room, and cocktail lounge. The clients sought a space that balances entertaining with comfortable everyday living, and Hendricks Churchill achieved a result that is both functional and beautifully composed.
At the heart of this space is our Alterno Branching Chandelier. Featuring 16 lights and a distinctive 8-arm design, this bespoke version provides an even and ample light output that fits the demands of a multifunctional room. The design, rooted in midcentury form but reimagined for contemporary use, balances function with clarity. Its perpendicular arms, arranged in staggered lengths, avoid visual clutter and ensure the light is distributed cleanly across the ceiling and walls.
Congratulations to Hendricks Churchill for their well-deserved inclusion in the prestigious 1stDibs 50. Their discerning eye for lighting and furniture has transformed this Manhattan apartment into an exceptional space.
