Our set of Walnut Biedermeier dining Chairs are featured in Architectural Digest

We’re thrilled to share that Architectural Digest featured our Eclectica collection in a recent article about a beautiful New York City home.

The project, designed by the brilliant British firm Campbell-Rey, transformed a classic pre-war Upper East Side apartment into a vibrant, welcoming space for a young family. The designers expertly blended English and Italian influences, bringing a fresh, highly personal energy to a traditional layout.

Our favorite space, naturally, is the dining room. Set against a classic, light blue chinoiserie wallpaper and a bold green patterned rug, the designers paired a 1980s burl-wood-and-chrome table with our Eclectica set of eight walnut Biedermeier dining chairs. Because each chair in this set features a unique style and a different shade of vibrant velvet, they bring an immediate, playful personality to the room.

Duncan Campbell described their design approach for the apartment as adding “little moments of surprise. You know, the squeeze of lime.” We love that our mismatched Biedermeier chairs provide that exact spark. The designers utilized our collection to break up the “polite” formality of the neighborhood, creating a practical, comfortable focal point where the family now hosts their weekly Sunday roasts.
