As far as I know, the colored version is extremely rare. There is a touch of a ruby color and green on the inner chandelier. The sphere is very large, measuring 48 cm with a 19″ diameter. Such a design is unique and extremely sophisticated.

Collector’s and museum fixture.

Tomaso Buzzi was a great polyform and multimedia architect designer. He was the director of Venini for a brief period and was almost hidden by the heavy load of his successor, Carlo Scarpa and his creativity, and then the input of Gio’ Ponti. Glass lovers know how important his period is, where you can see the start of modernity and the finesse of a great designer. He missed the new vein of Carlo Scarpa’s brutalism innovative theories and consequently a look for texture (battuto, corroso and so on). This is what would be the next vogue of the 40s and 50s, however glass does not lead to texture and this chandelier is something that closes that time, where transparency and preciousness was the ideal for glass.
