Stile Barovier e Toso, anni 80, senza firma, stacco del puntello.
Murano glass potiche shaped vase with squared murrine in aquamarine, amethyst and cobalt blue. The Murrine mosaic includes a floral desing made with Murrine in light green and deep red.
The cobalt blue outside the murrine connects to the adjacent ones creating a web. This is in the style of the Murrine Romane from Carlo scarpa but the design inspiration is definitively the famous vases from Ercole Barovier of the 30s.
The pale colors used inside the cobalt frame inside (light amethyst and aquamarine) allows the see through effect.
Vase of unknown origin, it’s probably a tentative from some great master to create a similar pattern of Ercole Barovier style.
He used however his own vision, using a deep red circular murrinas for letting the corolla stand out. In addition the cobalt blue web creates is unique.
A magnigicent Murano vase. The play with light and it’s transparency is outstanding.
