From Pauly showroom this piece is Licio Zanetti interpretation of a design from the 1920s made by Balsamo Stella.

Massiccio Murano glass, the Ibex is held on a looped glass. The body uses a technique that was used by Pino Signoretto and Livio Seguso earlier work, that is to add a coating of iridescence on every glass coating to make the mass of glass. In this way you can see the layering of the glass before the shaping.

Licio Zanetti’s company is one of the company still running in Murano and now his son Oscar is the maestro there. Whoever has a chance to go to Murano I will suggest to stop there.
Zanetti works only massiccio and masters both clear and colors.

Carries the signature and Pauly’s label. Assigning to the 1990s (label still showing the lira prices). Could also be an earlier piece as the iridescence casing was used mostly in the 1980s.
