This captivating chandelier features eighteen hot-sculpted glass leaves, each meticulously crafted to capture the essence of a palm frond. The design showcases a stunning contrast between clear and Lattimo glass, a translucent milky-white Hand-applied striped glass that creates a soft, opaque effect. Unlike traditional palmette chandeliers, the leaves here showcase a clean, unadorned beauty, highlighting the inherent elegance of the Venetian glass.

The Lattimo glass requires a special technique, where clear and Lattimo glass is combined in a crucible at different temperatures. This allows the clear glass to flow freely, while the Lattimo retains its distinctive opaque quality. The resulting effect is a testament to the skill of the Venetian glassmakers.

The leaves are made using a technique where molten glass is poured into an open mold, forming the outline of a leaf. Then Lattimo glass stripes are then drizzled across the surface, like honey. A specialized tool called a Fracco is employed by the maestro to create the distinctive leaf relief. Finally, the piece is brought to its final form with a gentle curve, achieved by shaping it over a heated iron mold.
