The design originated in the Napoleon’s Empire period which came after the French revolution and the previous simpler Directoire style. The style recalls the grandeur of the period, which is known for its use of plants and animals decorations and gold accents.
From a Biedermeier collector in Verona, the chairs will be sent as they are or with a complimentary reupholstering and with a French polish and wax refreshment layer.

The set can be sent as it is to keep the antique look with a refreshment layer of French polish or wax. Or they can also be reupholstered in white muslin (plain white cotton fabric) or with the customer’s fabric. Both options are complimentary.
