I Colossi, Two Black Beads vase overl gold and emeral green.
The I Colossi is a group of vases made in Murano and currently in production. They are part of the Maestro collection.
The vases are tall, heavy and thick, following mid-century design principles with a touch of Art Deco influence.
The listed Colossi vase is made in  emerald green solid glass (massiccio) with 24K gold leaf embedded before blowing and hand opening. Two heavy  black S shaped beads  are hot applied to the glass body. The surface also features a platinum iridescent finish, that highlights over the black application pattern.
The result is a high-style pair of vases ideal for home display, connecting well with Deco or mid-century furniture.
I have worked with Maestro E. Colizza, reviewing his past works and appreciating his ability to create extremely heavy pieces. From this collaboration came the Maestro group, where the glassmaker’s input is essential to the final result and hence the shared signature.
