Set of 8 Murano Glass Tumblers, Campo di Gigli Toscani, Signed
Another beautiful set designed by my daughter Arianna, reconfirming the fresh and innovative approach on glass desing
She combined Murano Effetre canes of aquamarine and yellow. With cobalt blue accents.
It's has a mix of many designers of the past, Gio Ponti's a canne finish, Dino Martens filigree and Fulvio Bianconi pezzati.
The result is a piece of art, almost a painting, on a glass tumbler. Vibrant colors and transparencies are making a wonderful play with light.
The name "Campo di Gigli Toscani" translates in "Tuscan Lily field", it's the Tuscan Lily that flowers in April, called Giaggiolo. It became the emblem of Tuscany, it's on the Florentine flag and old currency Fiorino. It was then adopted by the French Kingdom. A long road for a simple beautiful flower.
Signed by the artist. Made in Murano. Effetre canes and filigree.
Look at the other collections from Arianna. One is better than the other.
