Artemest Galleria has recently opened in the West Chelsea art gallery district in New York, providing a permanent space for interior designers, architects, collectors, and private clients to explore Italian design and discover the secrets of centuries-old techniques. The gallery showcases beautifully made home décor, furniture, and lighting from over 1,400 Italian artisans. Visitors can enjoy a rotating series of museum-like exhibitions showcasing the works of Italian makers interpreted by prominent artists, curators, designers, and tastemakers. The Project Room is a curated space where clients can meet with the Artemest team to discuss and develop commercial and residential projects. This room features our Orbitale Chandelier, a stunning brass chandelier with five rotating arms that are skillfully balanced on a heavy cast brass sphere and rotate in an orbital movement along the stem. The chandelier provides mostly ambient light reflected towards the ceiling, with each shade having a hole to shine direct light downwards, highlighting the tips of reflecting objects. The shades were designed to echo the iconic 1950s pieces by mid-century modern Italian studios Arteluce and Stilnovo, but with a unique and distinctive design that adds elegance and sophistication to the space.
