Pair of Green Rigadin Gold Murano Table Lamps by Alberto Donà — Maestro Collection
A pair of table lamps conceived and blown at the Alberto Donà furnace, each built around a gourd-shaped body in deep rigadin. The glass is executed in Donà’s signature green — a color reminiscent of classic Seguso tones yet exclusive to the furnace’s own formula. Gold leaf is worked directly into the material, coming alive when illuminated. To preserve the purity of the silhouette, the lamps rest on clear glass bases that visually lift and “suspend” the form.
The pronounced rigadin pattern creates a gentle lens-like effect that effectively veils the central rod. Its shifting angles catch the light in varied ways, giving the surface a nuanced play of density and tone.

Alberto Donà’s studio works with its own potash–lime glass formula, renowned for yielding unusually rich tonalities and a heightened optical depth. This characteristic clarity and refraction enhance the sculptural presence of each lamp.
The lamps are part of the Maestro Collection, curated by Silvio Piattelli, active in Murano for over fifty years. The designation “Maestro” honors the glassblower responsible for the execution of the work. Each piece is individually signed by the executing Maestro and, when relevant, also by the designer, underscoring the shared authorship that defines Murano’s traditional craft culture.
