Gran Costellazione is a series of modular fixtures that brings together lighting elements of varied sizes and heights to form a visually striking, sculptural layout with excellent light performance. The collection reflects a mid-century influence, refined through contemporary design sensibilities and premium materials.

This model, named after the Cassiopeia constellation, was developed in response to the need for flush-mounted lighting that spans a generous surface area. It is well-suited not only to low ceilings but also to open spaces where maintaining clear views—such as toward windows, outdoor scenery, or wall art—is a priority.

The Cassiopeia version has a circular layout with a diameter of 84.5 cm (34 inches), composed of 6 larger and 6 smaller illuminated modules, arranged in a minimalist, ring-inspired fractal composition.

Designed to complement round dining tables or central areas of a room, this piece offers layered visual interest. From afar, its staggered layout can be appreciated in profile. Upon approaching, the translucent onyx and balanced geometry reveal their full effect.

While stone chandeliers are often admired for their sculptural elegance, they are typically limited in brightness. In contrast, our Onyx and Marble pieces are engineered for both form and function. The Gran Costellazione uses cutting-edge LED technology with an efficiency of 180 lumens per watt.

The Cassiopeia model delivers a native output of 19,000 lumens using 115W of proprietary LEDs. Due to the optical diffusion properties of the onyx and the form of the fixture, the effective light is reduced by about one-third—still providing ample illumination. The chandelier is compatible with standard TRIAC (phase-cut) dimmers for customizable brightness control.

Shown here with onyx shades—the most requested finish in the Sistema Solare range—it is also available in Calacatta marble or opaline glass. The metal components can be customized with finishes such as nickel, gunmetal, or other standard brass treatments. Options include natural patinas, brushed bronze, and oiled bronze, with the possibility of combining multiple finishes for a distinctive layered effect.
